"In my time at ASU, I have completed other research opportunities. Last year, I researched women’s equity in the workforce, and I helped to create an index that measured and ranked Fortune 500 companies’ dedication to women’s equity. While this was a really fun project, I’m excited to have the opportunity to work on actual finance research with this scholarship. In addition, I was also a teaching assistant for a literature class last year at Barrett, the Honors College. In this class, I had the chance to work with students on their literature papers, and I helped them to develop and hone their ideas and analyses. I’m glad I get to apply these communication skills I learned as a teaching assistant to financial literacy in this scholarship. Outside of school, I train for triathlons, and currently, I’m training to run a half-marathon with my dad in January."

"ASU has provided me with invaluable opportunities for which I am deeply grateful. This past summer, I interned at JPMorgan Chase in New York City as an investment banking summer analyst. It is through the resources provided by W.P. Carey that I received this opportunity, and I am extremely grateful for the support I continuously receive on campus. These experiences have fueled my ambition to become an investor, and I am excited to have been offered an intern position at a leading private equity firm next summer."

"At Arizona State, I have had the privilege of receiving a quality education. Throughout my time here, I have really delved deep into what careers in finance could offer by constantly challenging myself to take on opportunities that will present me a chance to learn the most. This includes interning at a variety of companies and gaining experience in a variety of fields such as consulting, private equity, corporate banking, and capital markets. I also always keep in mind the importance of getting involved on campus and getting the most out of every class. In the near future, I intend on graduating in May 2024 from Barrett, The Honors College and embark on my journey to work as a Global Capital Markets Analyst at Morgan Stanley in New York. I hope someday in the near future I obtain my MBA from a well-respected institution, hopefully within the next five years."

"In my six semesters on campus, I’ve naturally gravitated toward many leadership roles. Within the immediate W. P. Carey community, I have taken on various roles as President of the Investment Banking Industry Scholars (IBIS), a Portfolio Manager and Director of Fund for TAMID Group, and a Vice President of the Investment Banking and Finance Club (IBFC). Notably, I’m also a McCord Scholar this year."

"My goal in college is to become a subject matter expert in Finance and Computer Science so that I can become a strategy consultant. This career will enable me to work with some of the brightest minds in the business world to develop solutions that will truly produce change for businesses, communities, and individual people. Beyond all else, I value human connection and touching those important to us in a positive way. I feel that consulting will give me the opportunity to scale this passion and touch many people’s lives."

"Expanding on my motivation and professional goals, my parents immigrated to the U.S. from Argentina in hopes of freeing themselves from generations of family poverty and the major wealth gap in LatAm. Having that background makes me feel determined to work toward a world with better financial inclusion (both literacy and access). Long-term, I hope to start my own firm investing in technologies empowering emerging markets and providing access to capital for underrepresented and underserved founders. Ultimately, I am super passionate about financial literacy, FinTech, and investing, and plan to leverage my finance curriculum to begin my journey as an investor in minority and underserved communities."
